Our mission is to deliver a continuum of excellent wellness services and management products to effectively control health care costs and improve the physical, mental and spiritual health and wellness of our clients and stakeholders
LifeWork Strategies, LLC is the result of a joint venture between Adventist
HealthCare System and InforMed which combines the strengths of each
organization. LifeWork Strategies offers employers a comprehensive suite
of products which integrates health and wellness programs with claims
data management and medical management. LifeWork Strategies can successfully
help your company curb the rising medical care costs (medical trend),
and help employees and their dependents utilize the medical care system
more effectively. We do not "steer" your employees to less expensive
care settings, but serve as an advocate and partner with your employees
as they navigate today's medical care "maze".
In 2002, Bill Robertson, President of Adventist Healthcare, said "enough
is enough" and recognized the traditional health plan model was not
working. Costs escalated by double digits year after year. A new, fundamentally
different model was needed. The new model is based upon a collaborative
approach which brings together patient, nurse advocate and doctor to
deliver a much higher quality and more cost effective treatment program.
Integrated into this approach is a comprehensive health and wellness
program that focuses on the employee population health profile issues.
During the last four years, the 7,000 member Adventist HealthCare medical
plan has "saved" more than $9.1 million through this program. This model
works well to curb medical trends while supporting healthy lifestyles,
improved employee morale, and a higher quality of life. Let us share
our experience and other examples of companies that have benefited from
the LifeWork Strategies approach to medical cost control.
